Mr. Kohl graduated from Illinois State University with a BS degree in Business Administration.  He worked for State Farm Insurance Company for 35 years and specialized in the organization of start-up agencies, plus Marketing and Sales with State Farm independent contractor agents. 
He received from the American College in Bryn Maur, Pennsylvania designations of CLU, ChFC, CLF (Certified Leadership Fellow), and RICP - pertaining to the business of Insurance. 
As a Sales leader, he led the Sales efforts of 34 agents representing over $100 million in revenue annually. As a volunteer, he has taught Sunday School in his church, was a Boy Scout Leader, and an “At Risk Mentor” for teens.
